The Distra platform stores all data within a standard relational database with a published and well defined data dictionary. Clients may access this data directly or utilise existing reporting tools to directly mine information.
Due to inefficient architectures, traditional payments systems have stored data, particularly transactional information, in proprietary file stores or flat files. Typically, this data is not available until after some convoluted, time and resource intensive extract process and even then, the data is presented in a particular and often limited format.
Distra's approach is to store all data in a standard relational database, which is made available in near real-time for access by other applications. This enables extremely simple integration with existing infrastructure and processes and makes data immediately available for reporting and pro-active business processesing.
External systems may access the data directly from a nominated database or the Distra platform can be simply configured to extract the required data to an external database, allowing ready integration with existing data warehouses, without the need for exotic extract tools or ETL techniques.
