The Distra Switch provides a contemporary User/Role security model, whereby each switch operation is assigned to one or more permitted roles. Users are then assigned one or more of these roles, which defines which operations they are capable of accessing. These permissions can be further defined into read and/or write type operations.
The security model, like most elements of the solution, is pluggable, meaning that a new security policy can be defined for a particular implementation and seamlessly inherited by all users of the system.
Distra provides a default security policy based around PCI guidelines.
