All payment systems at some point need to interface to other systems, in most cases using legacy based protocols. Distra recognize this fact and have implemented a functionally rich endpoint model to cater for present and emerging payments protocols.
Distra Switch provides advanced facilities for the integration of various transaction channels, such as interchange links, gateways and terminal networks as well as central switching systems.
The default channels provided spans a cross section of payments industries, from traditional ISO8583 based retail and consumer banking channels, ATM and POS devices, across to the latest XML based (ISO20022) wholesale channels. With an integrated solution like Distra, these channels can be mixed and matched across a single platform, with very little constraints on message length or content.
The diagram below represents the Endpoint framework populated with a number of components that define the functionality of the Endpoint.
New channels can be bought online rapidly using these endpoint frameworks and related components. These provide standard, feature-rich ready made components for most payments channels applications and include functionality such as message parsing, reconciliation, security and session management as well as Store-And-Forward facilities.
