Distra’s next generation real time payments solution, the Distra Switch, is now officially certified as PABP compliant. PABP is VISA’s standard and certification for Payment Application Best Practice.
The certification has been granted through Distra’s work with auditors from Verizon Business to ensure that the secure storage of sensitive data, access control measures, logging and reporting used within the Distra Switch meet and exceed what is prescribed in the Visa Payment Application Best Practices guide.
The Distra Switch, now implemented in a growing number of tier 1 banks in Australia and the UK, has been designed with security as a fundamental cornerstone of the architecture. This will ensure that when implementing a PCI (The Payment Card Industry Security standard) compliant solution (under the PABP) using a Distra Switch the customer will have to implement less compensating controls than when using legacy switches. The certification further identifies Distra as one of the leading next generation payments processing solution today.
