Distra completed its first tests on the Sun equipment awarded to Distra under the Investment Review Committee programme.
2 x four processor v880 servers each with a T3 storage unit were driven by Distra's acquirer and issuer simulators. The simulators produce a mix of ISO payments messages (credit, debit, reversals etc), add latency for issuing host connectivity and test various user defined scenarios and functionality.
The configuration provides a sustained performance of 1200 transactions per second including full message logging. Operators are able to view the status of the elements comprising the switch and perform full message/ transaction research.
